Beyond the Surface

For experienced practitioners ready to move beyond familiar patterns - deepening their practice through clarity, connection, and immersion in the jungle.

03.-10.04.2027 - Uvita, Costa Rica

(for experienced Practitioners - in English)

A week to step out of your routine and into something deeper, more essential.

Surrounded by nature, far from distraction, this luxurious and at the same time so grounded retreat is not just about practicing or doing more - but about feeling and seeing more depth and clearly in what you’re doing.

Your practice.

Your patterns.

Your way of moving through all of it.

What this retreat is about

This retreat is designed for practitioners who are ready to go deeper - not just physically, but in the way they approach their practice as a whole.

We will work through different layers:

– refining strength, mobility and control

– understanding how your body actually moves

– exploring transitions, inversions and more complex patterns

– creating awareness for what supports you - and what doesn’t

– experience how all the different aspects of yoga interact on and off the mat and how they are connected

But beyond that:

It’s about learning how to listen more precisely.

To move with intention instead of habit.

To question what you’ve been repeating unconsciously.

What to expect

– 2 daily practices (dynamic, functional, exploratory)

– focused sessions on strength, mobility & inversions

– intelligent progressions — not random sequences

– time for rest, integration and nature

This is not a passive retreat.

And it’s not about performing.

You will be challenged - but in a way that supports you and helps you grow!

Who this is for

This retreat is for you if:

– you already have an established practice

– you’re comfortable being upside down (not required, but helpful)

– you want to understand your body better — not just use it

– you’re willing to look beyond shapes and results

This is not about perfection.

But it is about responsibility in your practice.

There is a difference between moving and actually practicing. And this week is about closing the gap.

A day could look like this:

  • 7am: Meditation, Pranayama (voluntary, partly independent)
  • 7.15am: morning practice (75-90min)
  • approx. 9am: breakfast, healthy and fresh, vegetarian and vegan options, but also other wishes possible

    - and more

The Role of the Environment

Uvita, Costa Rica

A paradise on earth you will not want to leave anymore

The surrounding nature is not just a backdrop.

It changes how you move.

How you breathe.

How present you are.

There is space here - physically and mentally - that allows things to settle, and at the same time brings things up that are usually easy to ignore.

You don’t need to “escape” your life.

But stepping out of your usual environment makes it easier to see things differently.
