Continuing Education for Yoga Teachers · 3 Days
Yoga Teacher Intensive
Fascial Movement  · Functional Strength & Mobility  · Arm Balances & Handstand

A continuing education weekend for yoga teachers. Three days of deep study — for your own practice and for the way you teach.

Friday · Masterclass · 18:00–21:00 Fascial lines — the body as one connected system
Saturday · 9:00–12:00 & 15:00–18:30 Arm balances, functional strength & mobility
Sunday · 9:00–12:00 & 15:00–18:30 Handstand, joint health & backbends

Your teacher training gave you the foundation. For most of us, that is where the learning truly begins.

This weekend is continuing education for yoga teachers — a space to deepen what you already know. We start with the body as a whole — fascial lines, movement patterns, the logic of how structure shapes function. On Saturday we move into arm balances, functional strength and mobility, and on the final day into handstand, joint health and backbends — the practice that asks the most of us, as practitioners and as teachers.

The lens throughout is always dual: your own experience, and your teaching. How you feel it. How you cue it. How you build it for students whose bodies are not yours.

The Body
as a Whole
Holistic Movement — A Masterclass

Move one part of the body, and the whole body answers. This evening, you feel exactly how.

The masterclass opens the weekend with the lens everything else builds on. We explore the fascial lines — continuous connections that run from the soles of the feet to the crown of the head, from the fingertips deep into the trunk — and look at movement the way it actually happens: in connected lines, with every posture a whole-body event.

You experience this in your own body first. The practice makes the fascial impact of movement tangible — elasticity, rebound, and the way load spreads through an entire line. We close with a shared reflection to land, ask questions, and carry what you felt into the way you see and guide your students.

Masterclass · from 18:00

Fascial lines in practice

A guided practice that makes the connected body tangible, with the anatomy woven in as we move.

To close · until 21:00

Reflection & questions

Time to land, share, and connect what you felt to your own teaching.

What you take home

  • A clear picture of the major fascial lines — and where they show up in the asanas you already teach
  • A way of seeing your students' bodies as one connected system, where tension in one place often has its origin somewhere else
  • Cues that speak to whole lines of the body, so movement feels integrated
  • The lens for the rest of the weekend: Saturday and Sunday build directly on it
Time 18:00–21:00
Duration 3 hours, including the closing reflection
Topics Fascial lines · Fascial impact · Biotensegrity · Connected movement patterns

Saturday · Morning & Afternoon
Arm Balances,
Strength & Mobility
Arm Balances, Functional Strength & Mobility

Strength and mobility grow best together — and arm balances show it most clearly. Today you explore both, on your own mat and in the way you teach.

Saturday takes Friday's whole-body view onto the mat and into your class planning. How do you shape a yoga practice holistically — one that builds functional strength, opens range of motion, and keeps the joints stable and well supported? How does force travel through the body, where does load go when alignment shifts, and what does "core" mean in a living, breathing system?

The morning is dedicated to arm balances. In the afternoon, we go deeper into functional strength and mobility — the physiology behind them, their link back to arm balances, and the craft of assisting.

Morning · 9:00–12:00

Arm balances

Building arm balances step by step: wrist and shoulder preparation, shoulder and core stability, and progressions for different bodies and levels.

Afternoon · 15:00–18:30

Strength, mobility & assists

Functional strength and mobility in depth: the physiology behind them, active and passive range of motion, joint stability, and their link to arm balances. Plus hands-on assists — when, where, and how.

What you take home

  • Step-by-step progressions for arm balances that work for different bodies and levels
  • A clear understanding of mobility and flexibility — and how strength protects the joints we want to free
  • Ways to bring functional strength into your yoga classes while keeping the breath and flow of the practice
  • Assisting skills: what to assist, how to do it, and when to let students find it on their own
  • Sequencing principles and variations you can adapt to any group and any level
Time 9:00–12:00 and 15:00–18:30 , with a break in between
Duration Morning 3 hours · Afternoon 3.5 hours
Topics Arm balances · Functional strength · Mobility & flexibility · Physiology · Assists · Sequencing
03
Sunday · Morning & Afternoon
Handstand &
Joint Health
Handstand, Joint Health & Backbends

Lightness on the hands is built step by step, from the ground up. Today you learn those steps — for your own practice and for your students.

Sunday brings everything together in handstand and inversions — the postures that ask the most of body and mind. We approach them as complex, whole-body movements, built on the connected lines from Friday and the strength, mobility and arm balances from Saturday.

The focus is twofold: the experience of practicing these postures, and the craft of teaching them. What really matters when you teach them? How do you spot someone who's upside down, build toward these postures without creating dependency, and find a cue that's useful from outside the pose?

In the afternoon, we turn to what keeps a practice sustainable over years: joint health, the physiology behind it, and backbends.

Morning · 9:00–12:00

Handstand

Wrist and shoulder preparation, shoulder and core stability, handstand entries, balance — and exit strategies for coming down safely. Plus spotting and cueing for movement that happens upside down.

Afternoon · 15:00–18:30

Joint health & backbends

A deeper look at physiology and joint health — how to prepare and care for the joints in a demanding practice — and backbends, explored in practice and in teaching.

What you take home

  • Step-by-step progressions for handstand that work for different bodies and levels
  • Safe entries and exits — including how to teach students to come down with confidence
  • Spotting skills and clear, precise cues for movement that happens upside down
  • A deeper understanding of joint health, and how to prepare the body for handstand and backbends
Time 9:00–12:00 and 15:00–18:30 , with a break in between
Duration Morning 3 hours · Afternoon 3.5 hours
Topics Handstand · Inversions · Spotting · Physiology · Joint health · Backbends
